Brave fundraisers go the extra mile

It’s been a phenomenal summer of fundraising for our finance team supporting Reaseheath RAG and other worthy causes.

Matt Kinnear, Transaction Accounts Supervisor,  literally ‘braved the shave’ by shaving off his hair to support the Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising initiative, Brave the Shave. Thanks to his commitment, Matt raised over £650 for Macmillan.

Continuing with charitable efforts, Transaction Accounts Assistant,  Joy Birch, joined a team of walking enthusiasts to  take part in Oxfam’s 2015 Trailtrekker challenge. Covering a total of 100km (63 miles) across the Yorkshire Dales, the team battled treacherous weather conditions to complete the gruelling course in just over 32 hours. Joy raised over £700 for Oxfam.

Said Joy “The trek was one of the hardest things that I have ever done but also one of the proudest moments of my life.”

Over the last year the finance team has raised over £2,000 for charity, demonstrating fantastic dedication to the raising and giving ethos.
