Reaseheath’s netball team has gone from strength to strength so far this year, with students from a whole range of departments including Sport, Public Services, Equine, Animal Management, Agriculture and Food attending training and representing the college team.
Most recently the team participated in a tournament with MMU Cheshire against all three of their teams. The Reaseheath girls held their own with a convincing 10-4 win against MMU Cheshire third team playing some high quality netball.
MMU Cheshire’s second and first teams provided much more of a challenge but the Reaseheath team gained a lot from the experience and will be ready to challenge them again later in the season.
The team have some more games lined up against local sixth forms and colleges, and hoping that they will continue to improve and develop as a squad.
Sarah Ruff, College Sport Maker: “it is great to see so many students from a range of courses engaging in netball. The team have really developed over the past 2 years and it is great that I know have a squad of talented players to choose from for matches.”
