Reaseheath college term finishes on festive high

Reaseheath students finished the term in style with a festive ‘Harry Potter’ themed Christmas Ball.

Four hundred students partied the night away at a black tie disco in the student bar at the specialist land-based college on Tuesday (Dec 15).

The ball and a sit down meal beforehand was organised by members of Reaseheath’s Student Association.

Student Association President Rob Sparkes said: “It was a typical Reaseheath fun night and everyone partied until late. The ball was a complete sell out. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we had great feedback. It was a great way to finish the term.

I’d like to thank the Student Association for spending their free time creating amazing events like this, and the student services team for the effort they put into the Reaseheath Experience.”

Staff and students got into the Christmas spirit earlier in the week with a carol service in Reaseheath’s historic Main Hall.

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal

With the festive season almost here, we are looking for volunteers to take part in this year’s Shoe Box Appeal, supporting Operation Christmas Child.

Last year, the College supported this fabulous charity by donating 88 shoe boxes filled with helpful items and treats to children living in some of the poorest areas of Romania. For the 2015 appeal, we are aiming for 100!

If you’d like to take part, please take a look at the Operation Christmas Child website  for all the information you’ll need to pack your own shoe box.

Many thanks in advance for your support and help!

Blessings
