Students and staff go the extra mile for British Heart Foundation

Students and staff from across the college put on their running shoes to take part in a marathon fundraising challenge for the British Heart Foundation. The ‘My Marathon’ challenge encouraged participants to run the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles) throughout May.

Team Reaseheath, who consisted of 33 students and staff completed an impressive 864.67 miles (33 marathons) between them and raised £949.22 to add to the college’s RAG (Raising and Giving) total.

There were some particularly impressive performances from animal management staff who covered the most distance as a team IT technician Phil Ball completed 4 marathons in 4 weeks, which I think you will agree is an incredible effort. Equine students had a first year vs second year battle (I believe the second years were victorious).

A huge thanks to all who took part and have helped raise an incredible total for the British Heart Foundation.
