It’s been a hectic week here in Balule for Team Aardvark. So much has been going on and everyone has been getting well and truly stuck in!

Looking back to Sunday when we arrived in South Africa everyone was tired out from travelling but very excited to see what was in store for us.

On Sunday evening Team Aardvark arrived at the Balule reserve and were treated with the sights of elephant, giraffe and lions within an hour of driving through the front gate!

That was just a taster of the week to come as on various game drives and walks that have taken place there’s been numerous sightings of zebra, elephant, lion, leopard and so many other species! I think I speak for everyone when I say it’s been a little overwhelming to see so many amazing things in such a short amount of time.

In camp people have been working hard with cooking and cleaning duties, a few budding chefs are starting to show themselves, as well as working on assignments given by the rangers to build our knowledge and skills of the animals and lifestyle that the bush brings.

This week has been packed with fantastic adventures and I know everyone has many stories to tell when they return to the UK, for now we are looking forward to our next adventure at Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre where we’ve just arrived!
