Reaseheath public services lecturer and Crewe Alex Ladies FC Manager Liam Salt praised his team on their recent match day performance.
The squad earned a 3-2 victory over Ellesmere Port Town in the Cheshire County Cup semi-final after Beth Ragdale scored in extra time.
Beth secured Crewe Alex Ladies’ position in the cup final by scoring the winning goal with just eight minutes left on the clock.
Manager Liam Salt described the match as a true test of character and a huge accomplishment for the Alex first team.
Director of football Nick Pearce said: “It was one of our toughest challenges of the season.”
Current Reaseheath public services student and Crewe Alex goalkeeper Kara Townsend put in an excellent performance, pulling off two saves early in the match. Also part of the first team are former Reaseheath sports students Kerry Green (centre half) and Lydia Hooley (centre midfield).
Crewe Alex Ladies will now face Warrington Ladies FC in the Cheshire County Cup final taking place on 20th April.
